Bad beginnings

2006 - a new year, new beginnings. Mine started badly though...while waiting at a bus stop in Vancouver, my purse slipped off my arm without my noticing. I had gone a few blocks before I realized what had happened. Of course by the time we got back the purse was gone. I didn't have a lot of cash, but my camera was in there, and as you all know, I was very attached to it. My love for taking pictures started with that camera, and it has taken some really nice photos for me. Well, maybe I shouldn't get so attached to stuff anyhow. After all, it's just stuff. Only I will miss taking photos and I don't have the money to replace the camera at the moment.

I figure since the new year started off so badly, the rest of the days should be better, right? And I thought the year of the dog was supposed to be a calm, serene, peaceful year! I was looking forward to it after all the turmoil in the years of the monkey and rooster. Then again, Chinese year isn't until January 29th...maybe I will have a more auspicious start to the year then.

Sorry this was a downer of a post! But it is a bit funny (although I'm not laughing much right now!)...guess I never outgrew my clumsy, scatterbrained ways. Happy new year to all...hope your year had a better beginning than mine! Hugs to all.
